4-Port GbE AMC
One critical element of a MicroTCA system is to get traffic in/out of the system. Otherwise, it would have one expensive bookend on your desk or a door stopper for you lab. The MicroTCA system architecture gives 2 GbE ports (port 0 and 1) to each AMC in the backplane. Would it be nice to get these GbE traffic in/out of the system in the most cost-effective way?
What is this?
This is a very simple 4-port GbE AMC. It has 4 RJ-45 ports in the front so that you can plug in any good ol' Cat5 Ethernet cable. The GbE switch is unmanaged so these ports will have to fight it out.
We are not quite sure if we have room for a mini USB port yet. It would be good for a debug purpose. We are open for suggestions. Please email us and share your thoughts.
Update: Mini USB is in!!!
